I live here with my hubby, our young daughter, and Leroy—our Akita who has his own cat named Albert—and I’m one half of the photographer duo of Lolo & Noa! To say that I merely “love living in the Rockies” is a huge understatement—I actually feel like a piece of me is missing if I’ve been away from the mountains for more than a week or so.
It’s true! I’ve lived in SO MANY other places—the Dutch West Indies, the UK, South Africa, and other parts of Alberta—but the Rocky Mountains jive with my soul and I can’t imagine calling anywhere else home after settling in Golden BC.
The Rocky Mountains are also a big part of my inspiration for the life & style photography sessions I offer here in Golden.

Golden BC Photographer
I met my husband while working as a bartender in Lake Louise and we ended up moving to Golden, where we opened a pub of our own—The Riverhouse Tavern. Once we were here, it was a no-brainer that we weren’t going anywhere else. Golden is home to us. It’s a fantastic place to raise a family and it is the perfect place to spend my days shooting weddings and lifestyle photography sessions—like all things motherhood photography, family sessions, and maternity sessions—against breathtaking, jaw-dropping backdrops.
I travelled around a lot when I was younger and those travels, along with a background in design, really sparked my interest in photography and lit a fire of inspiration in me to create. I spend a lot of time with a camera in hand—whether I’m shooting life and style photography sessions, weddings, or just hanging out in the great outdoors with family and friends—and I never get tired of it.
When I'm not shooting (or editing), I’m out playing in the mountains and lakes surrounding Golden, doing all the outdoor activities I love the most—snowboarding, mountain biking, or cruising with my family in our 1980’s houseboat. And sometimes, on those occasions when it’s too chilly to be out there in nature, I’m down for snuggling up with my family and watching something bingeworthy, like Peaky Blinders or The Sopranos.
I also love to shoot the innate beauty of all types of motherhood photography and family photography here in Golden. Our daughter is nothing short of a miracle (even when she’s being feisty 😆) and I feel so blessed to watch her changing and growing with each passing year. It often goes by so fast—time can feel very short with children—that I feel like I blink and she’s an entirely new person, with her ever-evolving personality and growth. I grab images of her (whenever she lets me...10 is a fun, but finicky age for daughters) because I want to preserve these moments in time so someday I can look back on them in awe at how much she’s changed and be able to remember how little and adorable she was.
I feel the same way about families in my community. I want them to have their moments captured too, so they can also look back at those memories and be brought right back to that moment. That’s exactly what family photographs are supposed to do—bring us back to the memories, feelings, and emotions of a moment in time with our loved ones and littles.
This is why I offer motherhood photography (including maternity photos, mother and baby, mother and children, and newborn sessions), as well as family photo sessions in Golden—because if we don’t capture our wee ones and these precious moments of growth and change, we lose the memory of them in the chaos of the day-to-day. If you’re pregnant or you have a little or two, I know you understand exactly what I mean. Zip, zip, and it’s gone, right?! So there’s no better time to book a photography session here in Golden with me, than now.
And, whatever kind of session we do together, I can’t wait to work with you, share some big laughs, and create some beautiful and wall-worthy magic together.
